The 2015 AFP Annual Conference
Date: October 20, 2015
Time: 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM
Location: Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado
Event: Faster Payments Panel Discussion
The AFP Annual Conference is quickly approaching. Hosted in Denver, Colorado in October, it’s a chance to listen to some of the leading companies and meet with more than 6,500 treasury and finance professionals to generate new ideas, find different solutions and make new connections.
Leilani Doyle, SVP, Product Management, will also be moderating a panel discussion on the Reality of Real-Time Payments with Richard Oliver, Retired EVP, Federal Reserve Bank, Matthew Friend, Partner, Accenture, and Kendall Helfenbein, CFO, Romacorp, Inc. The US has the largest and most complex economy in the world, with an equally complex banking system. Making the transition to real-time payments is a huge task challenged by costs, regulatory framework and doubts about demand. This lively panel discussion covers the current state of real-time payments, debates whether near real-time is a good first step or just a distraction, and analyzes lessons learned from global implementations.
