ZeroPass facilitates sort decisions at the open and extraction phase - a step above other market offerings where a payment processor must pass through its transports once (one-pass), or twice (two-pass), to determine, among other things, the convertibility of its paper checks. ZeroPass allows payment processors to make the initial decision on ARC convertibility within milliseconds from when the check is extracted.

In addition, Clearingworks can also process transactions that are Internet initiated (WEB) or telephone initiated (TEL), if billers have a frontend application for the user interface.
